The Way Out is an action-adventure game developed in collaboration with Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It’s the second game in video format that will be written by Josef Fares after Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

Atypically for a game with video, A Way Out does not feature a single-player mode and can be played locally or online, and it supports split-screen co-op with two players. The game launched on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 23 on the 23rd of March, 2018. It sold over 1 million copies within two weeks.

The game can only be played on split screen (local or online multiplayer will be available), which means you’ll need an accomplice to get out and avoid the laws. 

Since it’s splitscreen-only it’s impossible to play the game yourself or use a standard drop-in/drop-out matchmaking system. The games require two players and you’ll need someone, be it an acquaintance or a friend who is with you throughout the game.

How many endings are there in A Way Out?
