Furthermore, the Good Morning America family is about to celebrate again as senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott recently announced her engagement. The happy news arrived four months after co-anchor Robin Roberts walked down the aisle herself.

On Monday’s broadcasting, Robin Roberts, 63, couldn’t help but show her excitement as she brought the nod with viewers, and again, another couple became a big happy family in GMA. The camera focused on Rachel Scott, 32, and Roberts coaxed this young lady into disclosing the wonderful details of Smith’s proposal to her now-fiancé.

Scott said with a cheerful grin, “This one was totally out of the blue.” As viewers were given glimpses of Smith presenting herself on her knees in what appeared to be a tranquil garden setting, Scott narrated about it all coming as a shock.

“When I looked at that pergola covered in rose petals and flowers, honestly, I thought it was for someone else,” she smiled. We thought we were spoiling somebody’s party, yet it was my engagement.

Mirroring Roberts’ proclamation of an approaching marriage to Amber Laign, she made a New Year’s Eve, Scott set her excitement as “You said yes to the wedding this year last You and I do say it is eager my turn”.

Taking to the GMA team for advice and tips about wedding planning etiquette and building a contented marriage, Scott solicited their help, saying: “So guys send me all your newlywed & engagement secrets — we are taking everything.”

Reflexively, Roberts danced in her chair and playfully mentioned, “I can offer advice now!”

On X (previously Twitter), Scott took to social media to share the GMA clip of her televised on-air engagement announcement for all the love in 2024. She also thanked her GMA family for the special shout-out.

Scott shared a visual story of the surprise proposal, highlighted by several pictures with her Instagram followers. It was accompanied by a photo that showed her delight in seeing the engagement ring and another picture of their smiles and embraces, enjoying the spellbound moment.
