Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game takes place in Post-apocalyptic Oregon 2 years later than the onset of an epidemic. Former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers his wife Sarah, having been assumed dead, may still be alive and goes on a quest to find her.

Days Gone is played from an angle of third-person view, where players can experience an open-world environment. The players can play with weapons, firearms and melee weapons, and made-up weapons and employ stealth to protect themselves from enemies like cannibals and humans called freakers. One of the most crucial game mechanics is Deacon’s bike that serves as the primary mode of transport and the mobile inventory.

Days Gone Split Screen

There’s no multiplayer option in Days Gone. While the world is well-suited for co-op, Deek has to go on his own and there’s no split-screen modes for co-op within the game. There is no plan for adding multiplayer features to the game.

This doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to be hopeful about Days Gone co-op multiplayer. We’ve heard that about the Survival Mode DLC, and weekly challenges will be added to the game with an update that’s free in June which means it’s possible Sony Bend Studio will work to add multiplayer options.

Was Days Gone a flop?

Days Gone Director Jeff Ross revealed that “local studio management” always led Bend Studio to feel that “Days Gone was a failure, despite selling nine million copies.

Is Days Gone still free?

Bend Studio’s Days Gone joins the regular PS Plus free games for PS4 owners. PS5 PS Plus subscribers already enjoy access to Days Gone free via the PS Plus Collection, and this add-on makes it available for PS4 owners who might not have had the opportunity to play it until now.
